The greetings card (20) includes a portion carrying a picture or message in the form of a jigsaw puzzle. The pieces can be enclosed within the card, suitably within an envelope (11) of plastics material. The pieces can be put together by the recipient to reveal a message or a picture, for example, a photograph of the sender. The ratio between the number of pieces and the size of the puzzle or mini-puzzle can be lower than optimal, thus making it easier to compose.
