METHOD FOR COMPLEX HARVESTING MAIZE WITH CORN OF MAIZE, CORN-COB CRUSHING AND CORN-HUSK, PROCESSING INTO FODDER AND UTILIZING

The complex LKS Liesch-Kolben-Schott harvesting of maize, gathering in cob-leaves, cobs and corn in one operation, is performed with a tractor-mounted chaffer equipped with a four-line cob-breaking adaptor, a cutter drum with 18-24 chaff-cutter blades, a friction table below the drum and a friction insert in the blower housing. Harvesting specifications are extended to 65 wt.% moisture content in the corn, the prod. of the chaffer is turned into silage in the known way and the lactic-acid fermentation of the silage is prevented. The recovered silage is sepd. directly and/or on screens, the cob-leaf fraction is fed to beef cattle, while the crushed cob and corn fraction is used for pigs, after comminution of particles smaller than 3 mm.
