SYSTEM FOR DECREASING ATTENUATION OF RADIO WAVE DUE TO RAINFALL

PURPOSE:To reduce the attenuation of a radio wave due to rainfall by dividing transmission power into two equally, radiating the power from two antennas to one reception point, deviating the direction of the radiation pattern of one antenna at rainfall and making the phases of the two antennas opposite to each other. CONSTITUTION:While the transmission power is divided equally into two, the in-phase and equal level of power is radiated from the two antennas T1, T2 to a remote reception point R for communication, if a rainfall region takes place on the way, the direction of the antenna T2 is changed a little, the radiation patterns are crossed together at the intermediate point P of the rain region between the antenna T1 and the point R so as to adjust in a way that the radiation fields from both antennas at the said point are of equal magnitude and in opposite phase. Since the electric field is made nearly equal in the magnitude and opposite in phase in the entire rainfall region and the combined electric field is decreased in this way, the attenuation due to the rainfall region is decreased.
