The turntable (1) carries a degree scale (22) which can be read off against an indicator arrow (21) fixed to the carrying frame (2). The carrying frame (2) of the turntable (1) contains slides, equipped with springs, which return the turntable to its zero position. The slide and spring mechanisms in the frame are protected from the ingress of dirt by cover plates (19) on each side of the turntable.
