The suction unit (10) is applied as a packing between the toilet seat and the water cistern. Its upper (11a) and lower (11b) layers are joined to one another by parallel ribs (12) so that a number of parallel channels (13) are formed. One end of the hollow profile is tightly fitted in a long hole (21) in a suction pipe (17), with the interior of which the channels then communicate. The opposite ends of the channels are closed. The packing has apertures (14,15) for the flush pipe, fixture bolts, and similar. Also, an aperture (21) running at right-angles to the channels is provided in one sheet (11b) of the profile.
