ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREThere is provided a light receiving member whichcomprises a support, a photosensitive layer composed ofamorphous material containing silicon atoms and at leasteither germanium atoms or tin atoms and a surface layer,said surface layer being of multi-layered structure havingat least an abrasion-resistant layer at the outermost sideand a reflection preventive layer in the inside, and saidsupport having a surface provided with irregularitiescomposed of spherical dimples each of which having an insideface provided with minute irregularities. The light receivingmember overcomes all of the problmes in the conventionallight receiving member comprising a light receiving layercomposed of an amorphous silicon and, in particular, effectivelyprevents the occurrence of interference fringe in the formedimages due to the interference phenomenon thereby formingvisible images of excellent quality even in the case of usingcoherent laser beams possible producing interference as alight source.
