A correlation and functional connection process is used to establish the structure used for interconnections between neurons in a neural network model. The processing structure is based upon entry of data (ST11), followed by the determination of a cross correlation histogam (ST12). A further step calculates the conditional probability values (ST13), and this is followed by a transmission capacity calculation (ST14) and a comparison of probabilities (ST15). The process is applied between pairs of neurons to establish the activity and strength of the inteconnections. ADVANTAGE - Improvement in neural network model.
