NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I {Rf represents perfluoroalkenyl expressed by formula II [R1-R3 represent perfluoroalkyl expressed by CnH2n-1 (n is 1-3)]}. EXAMPLE:Glycidyl para-(perfluorononenyloxy)benzoate. USE:A surfactant, lubricant, cosmetics and high polymer modifier. PREPARATION:A para-(perfluoroalkenyloxy)benzoyl halide expressed by formula III (X represents halogen atom) is reacted with a glycidol in the presence of a basic compound (example; triethylamine or potassium carbonate) normally in the presence of a solvent. As for the solvent, acetone is preferably used when the basic compound is an organic base and DMF, etc., is preferred when the basic compound is an inorganic base.
