Trace elements are supplied in hydroponic cultivation of crops through solidor liquid fertilizer to a concentrated fertilizer solution. Based on thespecifications of this fertilizer, the number of grammes or litres of theconcentrated fertilizer solution to be added must be calculated every time.The invention makes it possible to use a single unique measuring beaker andcorresponding suitably concentrated liquid trace elements for dosing thesevarious trace elements in such a way that, when added to the concentratedfertilizer solution, one measuring beaker full of a given unit of liquidtrace element results in a rise of the same number of units per litre in thefinal nutrient solution, allowing for the size of the concentrated fertilizervat and the dilution factor between this concentrated fertilizer solution andthe nutrient solution.
