In the conventional anniversary display method, a viewer needs to confirm an anniversary stored in a memory by using an input key. In the case of using a clock, when the microcomputer is reset, the time data is also reset, and it is inconvenient to set the time again. In order to solve the problem, the present invention stores the anniversary or birthday information input by the viewer in a memory. Compared with the time information included in the broadcast information received through the tuner, the anniversary or birthday is displayed on the screen at that time.
