PURPOSE: To obtain a card to be a high storage density information medium easy to be read out and having high security. ;CONSTITUTION: The card has a plastic support 1 for supporting a storing material layer 2 and a micro circuit 3 inserted into the supporter 1 on at least a part of its surface. The card is prevented from being illicitly used by setting an identifier code peculiar to the combination of the support 1 and the circuit 3. The code is stored in a memory in the circuit 3 and can be detected by the analysis of the support 1. When the support 1 is separated from the micro circuit 3 storing the corresponding code, coincidence between two codes can not be confirmed.
