PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change the width of long words without impairing the function as meaning indication means of words, to prevent the excessive increase in vertical width and to write the words in combination in more proximity to the sentences of vertical writing of Japanese, Korean, etc. ;SOLUTION: This method comprises cutting the words consisting of plural syllables among the English words at the breaks of the syllables in some cases and connecting these words by hyphens. This method is a known method for dividing the English words consisting of phonetic signs without impairing the function as their meaning indication means.
