PROCEDURE FOR THE TREATMENT AND INERTIZATION OF ASH FROM SOLID WASTE AND OTHER MATERIALS SUBJECTED TO THERMAL PROCESSES. IT CONSISTS OF SEPARATING THE IONS FROM THE HEAVY METALS PRESENT IN THE ASHES THROUGH THE SELECTIVE PRECIPITATION, IN THE FORM OF METALLIC SULFIDES, OF SUCH IONS. THESE SULPHIDS SUBSEQUENTLY SUBSTITUTE A TOASTING PROCESS AND SUBSEQUENT REDUCTION WITH CARBON, OBTAINING METALS IN ELEMENTARY STATE AND INACTIVE. THE REST OF THE COMPONENTS ARE TREATED WITH SULFURICO AND SODIUM SULFATE AND PLASTER AND / OR CALCIUM CARBONATE ARE OBTAINED, EXEMPT FROM HEAVY METALS AND OTHER METAL-SENSITIVE POLLUTANTS AND REAGENTS USED IN THE PROCEDURE. THE INVENTION IS APPLICABLE TO ASH PRODUCED IN THE INCINERATION OF SOLID WASTE OR IN ANY PROCESS THAT IMPLIES COMBUSTION REACTIONS OR THERMAL DESTRUCTION.
