FIELD: oil geology, examination of oil and gas properties of sedimentary depositions. SUBSTANCE: method determining metamorphization temperatures of sedimentary rocks includes sampling of rocks, isolation of cavity of radiolaria from them and determination of form of presence of silica in them. With presence of ball-shaped forms of silica it may be estimated that metamorphization temperature of sedimentary rocks did not exceed 40 C, with presence of prismatic forms one judges that metamorphization temperatures amounted to 40 up to 120 C and presence of dipyramidal-prismatic forms indicated that temperatures exceeded 120 C. EFFECT: enhanced authenticity of method, widened capabilities of method thanks to enlarged range of examined temperatures.
