Miniature vehicle, for use e.g. in teaching to demonstrate different methods of propulsion

The vehicle consists of a chassis (1) with recesses (41) for wheel hubs (45) and transverse cradles (15) across the direction of travel to receive a drive motor (73). It also has lengthwise cradles (27) in line with the vehicle's lengthwise axis (29) and perpendicular to the axes of the first cradles, so that a drive motor can be fitted in either position. Both sets of motor cradles have a U-shaped cross-section, with each transverse cradle (15) having a recess in one side wall which forms a part of a lengthwise cradle. The vehicle chassis is made in two identical and separable sections (3), each with two cradles having orthogonal axes and joined together by a supporting plate (5) for batteries (P, P') and terminals (65, 71) to power the motors and equipped with a printed circuit. The plate (5) is connected to each half of the chassis by couplings (23, 25) in the form of flexible tabs and slots.
