PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a block and a weir construction method which improves efficiency and saves labor in an installation process of a retaining wall and secures the safely of a filling process of a filling material such as concrete in weir construction technology which eliminates any necessity of a form in constructing a main retaining wall and shortens the construction term. ;SOLUTION: In such an L-shaped weir construction block used for a weir constructed by a weir construction method that an outer wall face 2 is formed into a prescribed slope face, joint means are buried in the top/bottom/left/right of the inner wall face, and prescribed through holes are bored in the bottom member, nuts 5 for fitting a catwalk are buried in the outer wall face 2 as necessary. Nuts 7 for engaging a tension member are buried along the longitudinal direction in the central part in the height direction of the inner wall face 6 as necessary.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
