The invention concerns a method for preparing a divided solid system (S) in the form of granules, by dispersing: in a concentrated aqueous solution of an alkaline metal silicate as continuous liquid phase; of at least a liquid, pasty or waxy non-ionic surfactant (NIA) immiscible or slightly miscible with said concentrated aqueous solution of alkaline metal silicate; by means of at least a non-ionic or anionic surfactant (TAS) compatible with said concentrated solution of alkaline metal silicate and capable of dispersing the liquid, pasty or waxy non-ionic surfactant(s) (NIA) in said concentrated solution of alkaline metal silicate, and drying the resulting dispersion (D): Said method is characterised in that said drying step is carried out by spraying/drying said dispersion (D) in the form of droplets of diameter of the order of 5 to 500 νm, preferably of the order of 50 to 200 νm, in a hot-air current; and simultaneously with or successively to said drying step, in carrying out a granulating step. The resulting system is useful as constituent in a powder detergent composition, in particular for washing clothes.
