BASEMENT STRUCTURE FOR EXTENSION AND BASEMENT EXTENSION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability by buring under a box-shaped building unit set up more in a position positioned apart from a main house a steel-made basement unit of the same module dimensions. SOLUTION: A detached room 4 is set up more in a portion positioned apart from a main house 2 in a lot, the main house 2 and the detached room 4 are connected to each other by a connecting corridor 6, and a basement 7 is buried under the ground of the detached room 4. Secondly, the detached room 4 is formed by a box-shaped building unit 10 of a unit building 1, the basement 7 is formed with the same module dimensions as those of the unit 10, and formed by a steel-made box-shaped basement unit 12 which can be buried and connected to the lower part of the unit 10. Instead of this, the foundation of the existing building is left and the building is shifted. After that, a part of the foundation is broken and the basement unit 12 is buried in that portion with the upper part thereof projected over the ground corresponding to the height of the foundation. Then, the building is returned to the initial position to extend the basement 7 under the ground of the building. Thus, the basement can be simply extended and an extension excellent in sound insulation and heat insulation can be achieved.
