"ISOLATED NUCLEIC ACID, EXPRESSION VECTOR, HOSTING CELL, PROCESSES TO PRODUCE OSTEOPROTEGERINE BINDING PROTEIN, TO DETECT THE PRESENCE OF A LIGHT OIL PROTECTION PROTECTIVE IN A LAMINATING UNIT OIL STEOPROTEGERINE IN A AMOSTATIC HYDROCHLORIDE ATTACK OSTEOPROTEGERIN BINDING PROTEIN AND A TEST COMPOUND TO INCREASE OR REDUCE THE BINDING OF THE OSTEOPROTEGERINE BINDING PROTEIN TO ODAR, TO REGULATE THE EXPRESSION OF AN OSTEARAROYOAOAHARTEOAOA IN A MAMMALIAN, POLYPEPTIDE, PURIFIED AND ISOLATED OSTEOPROTEGERINE BINDING PROTEIN, OR ITS FRAGMENT, ANALOGUE OR DERIVATIVE, AND, ANTIBODY OR ITS FRAGMENT ". A new polypeptide, the osteoprotegerin-binding protein, involved in osteoclast maturation, has been identified based on its affinity for osteoprotegerin. The nucleic acid sequences encoding the polypeptide, or a fragment, analogue or derivative thereof, vectors and host cells for production, processes for preparing the osteoprotegerin-binding protein, and binding assays, are also described. Compositions and processes are also provided for the treatment of bone diseases, such as osteoporosis, bone loss due to arthritis or metastasis, hypercalcemia, and Paget's disease.
