The sewer cleaning device comprises a metal chassis(10) with wheels (12 ) which rest on the banks of the sewer. A frame (15) which pivots below the chassis carries a metal sheet (18) which is immersed in the liquid in the sewer and pushes the device along using the effect of the current in it. A weighted boom (16) fitted to the bottom of the frame channels the current and accelerates it so that deposits collected on the bottom of the sewer are undermined and come loose. the metal sheet is pivoted on the frame, but rests against it in use.
