PURPOSE: A FEA(Field Emission Array) using a carbon nano tube and a production method thereof are provided to easily arrange the carbon nano tube and to adhere to a cathode. CONSTITUTION: Stripe cathodes(112) are formed on a rear substrate(111). Parts without sticking carbon nano tubes are formed on the cathodes(112). An insulating layer(113) is formed on the exposed rear substrate(111). Mixed bodies(112a,112b) mixing the carbon nano tubes, a metal powder and an organic binder are printed on the cathodes(112) through an opening. The organic binder is evaporated by turning the mixed bodies(112a,112b). The carbon nano tubes(112a) adhere to the cathode(112) by melting or diffusing the metal powder. An array is completed by combining a front substrate(101) having stripe anodes(102) with the rear substrate(111).
