摘要
A process determines degree of subsidence in a deposit of loose rocks having preferably little cohesion. The subsidence is due to an accumulation of moisture in soil or between loose rocks. The size of the volume-related subsidence iv depends upon the principal vertical stress sigma '1, the proportion of pores n1 the water content w, the over-consolidation ratio (OCR), and the anisotropy A. The process measures the degree of subsidence iv in relation to these dimensions. The degree of subsidence is determined by static tri-axial tests. The measured subsidence results from the consolidation phase are taken in conjunction with the stress-dependent threshold value to give a value for the subsidence of loose rocks. The process also provides the relationship between the pressure correction value Ko for earth at rest for the proportion of pores n1 and the effective principal vertical stress sigma '1.
