PURPOSE: Provided are a modified synthetic asphalt containing styrene-butadiene-rubber latex and gilsonite, a method for preparing the same, and a method for producing a modified synthetic asphalt concrete containing the same. CONSTITUTION: The modified synthetic asphalt comprises 90-94 wt% of AC 60-70 or AC 85-100(based on domestic invasion) normal aspha 4-2 wt% of styrene-butadiene-rubber(SBR) latex having solids of 40-50%; and 6-4 wt% of gilsonite. The asphalt is prepared by the steps of (i) introducing 90-94 wt% of liquefied asphalt into mixing tank; (ii) introducing 4-6 wt% of gilsonite liquid or powder into the mixing tank; (iii) introducing 2-4 wt% of styrene-butadiene-rubber latex having solids of 40-50% into the mixing tank by atomizing; and (iv) evaporating the remaining moisture from the mixing tank.
