Method for documentation of optical quality control of wood bodies in which a body (1) is measured using an optical image generation device (2a, 2b) and the images stored in an image document. The inventive method involves recording digital images, e.g. in JPEG format, which can be used in a digital document and record. The invention also relates to a corresponding imaging device.
