The treatment system consists of a mobile platform (2), formed as part of a structure, which also carries the equipment (6) for spraying, simultaneously on to two sides of two rows of plants (1). The platform and structure are carried by a pair of wheels (5) and the structure is such that it straddles two rows of plants. The wheels are mounted on axles (10), which are adjustable in perpendicular separation, to adjust the amount of straddle. The spray equipment is similarly adjusted.
