PURPOSE: To obtain a low abrasion-imperting treating agent for synthetic fibers capable of providing a synthetic fiber excellent in low abrasion property and a synthetic fiber obtained by treating with the treating agent, especially synthetic fiber for sheet belts, having small abrasion between fibers, fiber and metal and large abrasion resistance-retaining ratio. ;CONSTITUTION: This low abrasion-imparting treating agent for synthetic fiber consists essentially of a lubricant comprising an ester of a polytetramethylene glycol having 600-2000 molecular weight with a dibasic acid and a monohydric fatty acid. This synthetic fiber is treated with a low abrasion-imparting treating agent for synthetic fibers at an arbitrary stage from a step after spinning to winding around a package and the treated fiber exhibits excellent characteristic as the polyester fiber for sheet belts.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
