PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a series of effective production methods which combine a method for producing monodisperse semiconductor nano-particles and a method for preparing double-layer semiconductor nano-particles in order to prepare double-layer semiconductor nano-particles having a very narrow particle size distribution and exhibiting a spectrum with a peak having a narrow wavelength range.;SOLUTION: In a method for producing double-layer semiconductor nano- particles, a solution of monodisperse semiconductor nano-particles stabilized with a surface stabilizing agent is prepared, mutual alteration between hydrophilicity and lipophilicity is carried out by substituting the surface stabilizing agent to mutually transfer the stabilized semiconductor nano-particles to a water layer and an organic layer, and separatory extraction for recovering the semiconductor nano-particles from the layer to which the nano-particles have been transferred is carried out.
