FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for remote determination of critical values of separation into layers, scaling and disintegration of rocks of roofs and side of mine workings and pillars of various application. Device has reference bench mark, base bench mark, transducer of linear movements and indication unit connected with transducer. Transducer of linear movements is made in the form of body accommodating reed relay and permanent magnet. Base bench mark has rod with thrust washer rigidly connected to rod. Reference bench mark carries transducer of linear movements with setting member whose lower part is made in the form of permanent magnet, and the other part, in the form of nonmagnetic rod. Setting member is installed for axial movement along body up to contact with thrust washer. Reed relay is immovable in phase parallel to setting member for possible action on its contacts with permanent magnet magnetic field. Setting member may have spring on side of permanent magnet and calibrated for preset value of deformation. Transducer of linear movements may be connected with indication unit by means of electric conductors. EFFECT: extended body of information, higher reliability and accuracy in determination of deformations of rock mass due to simplified design of device. 4 cl, 1 dwg
