Device (1) has a sample holder (13) with two plates (14, 15), between which the sample to be measured is clamped. Sample and plates are held in a thermostatic chamber (27) with a linear drive (4, 5) for application of a defined dynamic load to the sample. At least one device (16) is provided for sample temperature measurement, while a further device (33) is provided for measurement of probe deformation. An evaluation unit processes the measurements.
