Sulfo-aluminous clinker for the preparation of white binders in association with Portland cement and calcium sulfate, that is essential iron and lime free

A sulfo-aluminous clinker contains: (a) more than 55 % by wt of calcium sulfo-aluminate phase (C4A3S'); (b) more than 10 % by wt of belite phase (C2S); (c) less than 10 % by wt of anhydrite (CS'); (d) containing practically no ferrite phase, nor any gehlenite phase (C2AS) nor any free lime. Where C represents CaO, A represents Al2O3, S represents Si2O2, S' represents SO3 Independent claims are also included for: (a) a method for the preparation of this clinker; (b) utilization of this clinker for the preparation of a binder by mixing it with calcium oxide and/or calcium sulfate source material and Portland cement; (c) a binder containing this clinker and calcium sulfate or calcium sulfate and Portland cement.
