PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air duct characteristic prediction device capable of reducing a development cost by shortening the design period in the design of an air duct in an air conditioning device.;SOLUTION: This air duct characteristic prediction device comprises a shape database 19, an air duct pressure loss database 20, and an air duct pressure loss calculation part 12. The shape database 19 stores the operation modes of the air conditioning device in association with a plurality of air duct elements generated by dividing an air duct model modeled after the structure of the air duct of the conditioning device. The air duct pressure loss database 20 stores the kinds of the air duct elements in association with a function for calculating the pressure loss of the air duct. The air duct pressure loss calculation part 12 estimates, based on the input of a design condition and its operation mode, a pressure loss in the air duct model in reference to the shape database 19 and the air duct pressure loss database 20.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
