PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection device capable of repeated measurement at the same observation spot by resetting again an optical fiber to the detectable state after detection of a slope deformation by the optical fiber at the observation spot, and thereby enabling long-period observation.;SOLUTION: This detection device 1 of the slope deformation is equipped with a detection part 3 installed at a prescribed interval on the slope, the optical fiber 4 disposed through the detection part 3, and an optical fiber transmission loss measuring device 8 for measuring the loss of a light signal transmitted in the optical fiber 4. The detection part 3 is equipped with a transmission loss generation mechanism 6A for generating the transmission loss in the optical fiber 4 following a mutual position change of the detection part 3 caused by the slope deformation, and a transmission loss resetting mechanism 6B for resetting the optical fiber 4 to the state before generation of the loss.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
