PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method to calculate a standard to evaluate operation reliability of a fumetight shutter equipped with a movable guide rail and a method to evaluate operation reliability based on the calculated evaluation criteria.;SOLUTION: In the fumetight shutter composed so that the movable guide rail MG is vertically oscillated by opening/closing motion of a shutter curtain 1, a pressure difference generated between anterior to and porterior to the curtain when the shutter curtain 1 to partition the largest fumetight partition discharges a volume of smoke calculated by adding a safety value to a volume required for the largest fumetight partition is made as the evaluation criteria.
