PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collect a trace of dry-depositing mercury and a plurality of kinds of other metals, under the same meteorological conditions on the same deposition surface.;SOLUTION: An apparatus 1 for collecting a trace of metals is provided with a disk 3 having a weir 6 at its circumferential edge, a cylindrical container 7 having a wing-shaped edge part 72 provided for the entire circumference of an open surface 71 approximately in the same plane as the weir 6 to support the disk 3 at its funnel-shaped interior 73, a solution circulating means 4 having a tank 41, a pump 42, and a solution supply part 43, and a means 5 for preventing the rain from mixing with the solution on the disk 3. The means 5 comprises a lid 51 formed so as to cover the solution surface on the disk 3, an opening and closing mechanism for moving the lid 51 between an opened position in which the lid 51 is retreated from the disk 3 and a closed position which covers the solution surface on the disk 3, a rain sensing meter 52 for outputting a signal upon detection of the rain, and a drive part 53 for operating the opening and closing mechanism based on the signal outputted from the rain sensing meter 52.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
