Systems and techniques are disclosed wherein for generating a beam from an antenna. The antenna includes an antenna feed with a first surface having a feed network and a second surface supporting one or more radiating elements. The antenna can include a slot figuration formed in the second surface which couples the feed network to the radiating elements. The antenna feed can also be constructed with a thermoplastic or other suitable material. It is emphasized that this abstract is provided to comply with the rules requiring an abstract which will allow a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain the subject matter of the technical disclosure.
