Apparatus for Generating Billing Information corresponding to the Each Service Based on Packet Data Analysis on Mobile Communication Network and Method thereof

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for generating charging information by data services based on a packet data analysis in a mobile communication network are provided to enable a mobile communication network operating provider to charge a subscriber according to services used by the user. CONSTITUTION: A packet separating unit(510) is connected between an IWF(Inter Working Function)/PDSN(Packet Data Serving Node)(400) and S/H(Switching/Hub), router(600) and discriminatively receives user IP packet data as Tx/Rx. A packet analyzing unit(520) receives user packet data through the packet separating unit(510) by discriminating it as a Tx/Rx, or receives user packet data from an IP network by discriminating it as a Tx/Rx by using a photo mirroring function provided by the S/H, router(600). A charging information storing unit(530) receives the charge information obtained in the packet analyzing unit(520) and charge information for a subscriber generated in the IWF/PDSN(400), and processes it as one service charge information and stores it.
