PURPOSE: Provided is a method for making carbon fiber-reinforced composite materials having improved thermal and mechanical properties suitable to be used as advanced materials. CONSTITUTION: The method for making carbon fiber-reinforced composite materials comprises the steps of: adding silicon carbide powder surface-treated with an acid or base solution to a polymer resin solution; impregnating carbon fibers with the solution obtained from the preceding step. Particularly, the silicon carbide powder is added to the polymer resin solution in an amount of 1-4 wt%. Further, the acid solution and the base solution has a concentration of 1-30 wt% and 1-50 wt%, respectively.
