PURPOSE: A shifting mechanism of a manual transmission is provided to prevent wrong shifting by indicating and restricting wrong operation into the wrong shift range in shifting into the wrong range. CONSTITUTION: A shifting mechanism of a manual transmission comprises a shift lever(50) formed in a vehicle room to shift by purpose of a driver; a power shift(56) connected to the shift lever to increase operational force of the shift lever; and a wrong shifting restricting unit stopping the operation of the power shift and restricting the operation of the shift lever in selecting the improper speed range by the shift lever corresponding to rpm of the engine and vehicle speed in shifting. An electronic control unit receives information from a speed range sensor, a clutch pedal sensor, an engine rpm sensor and a vehicle speed sensor, and outputs a control signal to a step motor(82d) in shifting into the wrong speed range by the driver.
