PURPOSE: A detection method of a target protein using microbial genomic sequence data is provided, thereby easily detecting a genetic factor having homology to each microorganism. CONSTITUTION: A detection method of a target protein using microbial genomic sequence data comprises the steps of: selecting the amino acid sequence data for comparing their homology(S1); selecting one amino acid sequence from the data as a query of amino acid sequence homology identifying program(S2); comparing homology of amino acid sequences excepting the query amino acid sequence using the homology identifying program(S3); producing computer files of amino acid sequence data, referred to as besthit, having the smallest cut-off value in order of comparison from the amino acid sequences satisfying certain conditions of comparison(S4); selecting a first amino acid sequence from the stored besthit amino acid sequence as a query of the homology identifying program(S5); repeating the steps S5, S3 and S4, sequentially(S6); finding amino acid sequences when in at least 3 amino acid sequences selected from the besthit amino acid sequences produced from the steps of S2, S4 or S6 and query amino acid sequences used, one amino acid sequence satisfies the besthit or query relationship to other two amino acid sequences(S7); and extracting homolog data present in different amino acid database using the amino acid data found in the step S7(S8).
