Method for evaluating technologies has the following steps: reporting of a technological business concept and or the product technology used in a business concept based on predefined principles; identification of corresponding patterns and models with setting out of the principles and; evaluation of each of two configuration areas with in a pattern or model. An independent claim is made for a device for evaluating technologies.
