Lamp holder adaptor with socket (12) for HV halogen lamps, as per German connection standard G9 and cap according to one of group of German standards E14, E27, GU10, GZ10, coupled conductively to socket. Cross-section of holder adaptor in region of socket is larger than cross-section of cap-adaptor comprises collar (20), surrounding partly halogen lamp fitted into socket, with inner cross-section of collar widening towards one edge and forming reflector, i.e. carrying reflecting film on inside.
