The rotary piston device comprises a rotary piston (1) fitted on a shaft (2) and consists of a circular disc (3), with a one piece circle segment fitted over one section of the circumference. The cylindrical housing (5) for the piston has a corresponding negative form with a circle segment stop component (6), and passages (7) extending radially outwards for the inlet and outlet of working medium are located in front of the two end faces of the stop component. The piston circle segment and stop component circle segment are each smaller than a semicircle and form two pressure chambers (8).
