PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image detection apparatus capable of detecting an image with high accuracy, which includes light guiding means for transmitting light, being incident from inside of a detection object to one end face, to the other end face, and having a slope of the one end face set at an angle so as to absorb the incident light from the air, and a light detection means for converting the light transmitted through the light guiding means to electric signals. PSOLUTION: The image detection apparatus includes a light guiding means (14) for transmitting light, being incident from inside of the body of a detection object to one end face, to the other end face, and having a slope of the one end face set with an angle so as to absorb the incident light from the air, and light detection means (15, 31) for converting the light transmitted through the light guiding means (14) to electric signals. The image detection apparatus further includes a state detection means (32) for detecting a state of the detection object based on the detection patterns obtained in the light detection means (15, 31).
