Method for characterization of an underground formation with a logging instrument disposed in a borehole drilled into the formation.The tool has a longitudinal axis formed geometric and being equipped with at least one system transmitter and a receiving system and apparatus for profiling for characterization of aUnderground formation penetrated by a borehole drilled.This is a method which employs a device for generation of a signal associated with the directional response of electromagnetic energy from an underground formation.The method is useful for the derivation both the angle of direction of boundary layer formation as the inclination of the layer.The azimuth angle and the actual layer may be computed from the information of slope on layer coupled with the guidance of the hole drilled.Other applications of the method are also described.
