SEALING STRUCTURE OF AN OIL PAN FOR A VEHICLE FOR COMPLETELY BONDING JOINING SURFACES OF A CYLINDER BLOCK AND THE OIL PAN BY KEEPING THE CYLINDER BLOCK AND THE OIL PAN AIRTIGHT

PURPOSE: Sealing structure of an oil pan for a vehicle is provided to achieve effective airtightness between a cylinder block and the oil pan by injecting a sealant into a groove while the cylinder block and the oil pan are assembled. CONSTITUTION: In sealing structure of an oil pan(103) for a vehicle, a sealant(100) is coated between a cylinder block(101) of an engine for the vehicle and the oil pan. Plural fastening housings(111) to be fastened to the outside of a joining surface(105) with the oil pan by bolts(109) are formed to the cylinder block. A groove is formed along the joining surface of the cylinder block and the groove is filled with the sealant. The sealant is filled through a nipple connected to the groove. An ascertainment hole is formed in a side of the cylinder block to make the sealant leak out to ascertain the filling state of the sealant in the groove of the cylinder block.
