POROUS POLYURETHANE FOAM CARRIER FOR TREATMENT OF WASTEWATER PREPARED FROM POLYURETHANE PREPOLYMER, POWDER SURFACE AREA INCREASING MATERIAL, CROSSLINKING AGENT, IRON OXIDE OR IRON CHLORIDE, AND NONIONIC OR ANIONIC SURFACTANT, AND ITS PREPARATION METHOD
PURPOSE: Provided are a porous polyurethane foam carrier for the treatment of wastewater which is improved in durability and the adsorption efficiency to organic and inorganic pollutants of wastewater or sludge, and its preparation method. CONSTITUTION: The porous polyurethane foam carrier is prepared by dispersing a polyurethane prepolymer, a powder surface area increasing material for adsorbing a pollutant and providing a microorganism habitat, a crosslinking agent for improving durability, and iron oxide or iron chloride for increasing specific gravity to mix them; and adding a nonionic surfactant or an anionic surfactant to the mixture to foam polyurethane. Preferably the powder surface area increasing material is selected from the group consisting of active carbon, charcoal, ion exchange resin, natural clay, zeolite, montmorillonite, bentonite, smectite, seporite, dolomite, barite and their combination. The polyurethane foam has a specific gravity of 1.0-1.3.
