The support component (1) for a vehicle jack is constructed as a separate component fastened on the underside of the vehicle and with a recess (3) for the support (5) of the jack. The recess viewed in the direction of travel of the vehicle is open to the rear and terminates at the front with a bevelled deflection surface (9). The recess is constructed so that the accommodated support of the jack is fixed horizontally by form-locking.
