The method involves projecting jets of material, in the form of liquid, to a surface of nucleus of a cultured pearl. The nucleus is marked prior to their insertion into a pearl oyster, where the mark is located under the pearl layer that is secreted by the oyster. The material is opaque to x-rays, and is at ambient temperature or at high temperature while being projected on the surface.
