The process involves determining a value of a determined parameter of a parameter image based on a value of each zone of a digital image to form a determined parameter image (201). The image (201) is regularized based on variation of values between the zones and a contiguous zone. Value of determined pixel of the digital image is modified based on parameter values of regularized image. An independent claim is also included for a system to modify a digital image composed of pixels.
