The roller has a swirl plate (1) formed with multiple coils to constitute a tilling surface of land and integrated to an axle (2) through shallow furrows (3). Shallow furrows (3`) are disposed at axle ends. Intermediate shallow furrows (3``), mounted gliding on the axle, are integrated to the axle through a sliding pivot type partial connection that provides a certain degree of freedom to the plate portion, with respect to the axle. An independent claim is also included for a tilling machine comprising a spiral roller.
